3/19/2011 1:05:23 PM I imaged M45 on January 1, 2011 and didn't process the data until today. This is a super stretched image that shows some of the dust surrounding the open cluster. This was imaged with the Explore Scientific 80mm APO with the Televue TRF2008 FR/FF at an effective F4.8 and a focal length of 385mm. The ES scope was guided by the 10" LX200 @ F6.3 with the Meade DSI roughly polar aligned. The imaging camera was the Canon XSi (450D - Hap Griffin Modded). The image itself consists of 42-4 minute light frames @ ISO 800, 5 Dark frames, 75 flat frames and 75 bias frames. Temp ranged from 7F to 1F during imaging. Processed in Images Plus 3.82a, post-processed in Photoshop CS3.
