MSRAL 2017

The Springfield Astronomical Society and the Ozarks Amateur Astronomers Club will be jointly hosting the 2017 Mid States Region of the Astronomical League (MSRAL) convention.

The convention will be held at the Missouri State University Plaster Student Union on June 9-11, 2017.

At this time we are tentatively planning on a Friday night "Star-B-Que" or some type of meal and possibly a visit to MSU's Baker Observatory and speakers/presentations on Saturday with a Banquet and Keynote presentation Saturday evening.

Of course we are planning to have vendors and other interesting displays. With the 2017 total eclipse being only a couple of months later and with the path of totality passing near the area we will likely have some Eclipse related presentations and you might want to do some scouting for potential observing locations while in the area.

As details, schedules and speakers are confirmed we will update this page and add links for registration and additional information.

The astronomy club at MSU has set up some pages for the MSRAL and since they are helping with some of the expenses have set up a page for registration and paying for convention attendance. Could you put these links on the SAS MSRAL page for us?
