Special Events
During the course of a year, the Springfield Astronomical Society (SAS) has several special events that it organizes or participates in. Some of these events are Messier Marathon, the Mid-States Region AL Convention, Astronomy Day, and other events. Please check this page or contact Dale Flippo or Ted Beresky for more details.
IC STARS Star Party: Held in October, located in west central Missouri, northwest of Warrensburg, MO.
Okie-Tex Star Party: September 27 - October 5 by Oklahoma City Astronomy Club. Located near Kenton, Oklahoma.
Great Plains Star Party: Held September 3 - 8 by Kansas Astrophotographers & Observers Society. Location is 75 miles southwest of Kansas City, MO.
Illinois Star Party will be held September 25 - 28. Information can be found at www.sas-sky.org
